I have to say San Antonio was one of the most festive and fun places I have ever spent New Year’s Eve, which was totally unexpected. • The River Walk was still all decorated with lights and we were able to make it there early enough to have a nice dinner by the river. • Just as we were leaving, the streets started filling with people dressed in bright, festive gear ready to ring in the new year. • San Antonio apparently hosts the largest free New Year’s Eve festival in the state of Texas! • We chose a bit more of a low key option though, and headed back to Bertie (our travel trailer) to finish out our night. But at midnight as the new year came in, it sounded and looked like the entire city was erupting in fireworks! We ran outside to join in all excitement! It was such a cool experience! • So if you love spending big holidays in busy, exciting and festive places, then the charming city of San Antonio might be just your thing. • Happy New Year everyone! •

← “Buy experiences not things. Experiences make people happier than spending on things. Things get broken over time and go out of style. Experiences get better every time you talk about them.” ~ Jean Chatsky • Taking the girls to see the Moscow Ballet perform the Nutcracker was definitely one of my favorite gifts we gave the girls this Christmas. • From watching their excitement to get dressed up, to their looks of pure amazement as the ballerinas twirled around the stage. • I am grateful for each of these experiences that we are having and will hopefully talk about about for many years to come. What kind of memorable experiences did you have with your family this year? •
Before the holidays, we left of in Utah. Let’s get back there, shall we? • Dead Horse Point State park is one of the most breathtaking places we have been and it is a STATE park, not a national park! If you are in Moab, Utah. Do not miss this place! • You can view both the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park from overlooks inside the park. They even have a Jr. Ranger program for kids too. • We had the privilege of spending an entire week here at this amazing campground taking in views of canyons, cliffs and snow capped mountains right from our spot! • I‘m still in awe that we are getting to live our dream. What is your dream? What does is take for you to go after it? Start with small steps or giant leaps, just go after it today! • →
